Family Four Pack for The Little Prince

The Little Prince is suitable in language and subject matter for all audiences

Forced down in the Sahara by mechanical failure, a lone aviator works to repair his plane before his one canteen runs out of water. Suddenly a mysterious stranger appears: a little boy who gives no sign of dying of thirst, but asks “please draw me a sheep.” What use he has for a sheep (to eat the baobabs that threaten to destroy his planet) is only the first revelation of the Little Prince’s story. He has wandered through the galaxy, learning from the grown-ups who inhabit each planet what they think important, and finally to Earth, where he meets a fox. The fox teaches the boy what is truly important; the boy teaches the man, and the author would teach us the same lessons. Saint-Exupéry, who was really an aviator and the author of several meditative books for grown-ups, charmed the world with this little tale. Our stage version captures the wonder and poetry of the original without missing out on any of the fun. It will be a perfect respite from the holiday rush, and equally captivating for children and adults.
