Not your average re-telling.  Dickens’ timeless story was dramatized for England’s Royal Shakespeare Company by the great John Mortimer (Rumpole of the Bailey).

My daughter and I have always made it a tradition to watch A Christmas Carol, with Alistair Sim, our favorite version, every year. And every chance we get, we try to catch a play. I’ve seen A Christmas Carol in Chicago before they tore down the theatre and again at their new theatre; Hedgerow Theatre, Walnut Street Theatre (kiddie theatre), and we saw the 3D animated version at the King of Prussia IMAX theatre. I love the old-fashioned, cozy sets and the clothes and the snow. Very nostaligic and keeping within the situation…now it is playing at the Players Club of Swarthmore. We couldn’t be more thrilled! Thank you. Hope it is done well, I’m sure it will be, and perhaps it can be played every year. God bless us everyone! Patricia
